In 2013, I worked as a junior press officer for the General Directorate for Communication at the European Parliament in Brussels, thanks to a Schuman traineeship.
The job consisted on contributing to the Parliament's internal and external communication strategy.
Specific tasks included: drafting press releases in English and Spanish; producing a monthly newsletter preceding each plenary session; monitoring and analysing media coverage throughout all the member states; writing documents for communication campaigns addressed to citizens and journalists; and assisting in the organisation of seminars for European correspondents about legislative initiatives.
